Jacquin Cunningham (b. 2000) is a writer and editor based in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Cunningham was born and raised in rural New Jersey and lived in London from 2019-2024 while attending Central Saint Martins. He received his masters from NYU in Costume Studies in 2026.
Cunningham founded and edits PISS since 2024, a large-format annual covering Americana, music, politics, and queer material culture. Each themed issue, PISS looks to the past and the future to mark our territory in the chaotic present, interviewing individuals reshaping queer visual culture and community. Interviewees include: Pulitzer winner Stacy Kranitz, Peter Berlin, Amanda Ba, Oscar yi Hou, Jack Powers, Sissy Misfit, Lindsey Normington, Sean Townley, and more. He designs and edits publications across fashion and art, and has written for TANK and WORMS. Cunningham’s work has been featured in AnOther Magazine and his photography has appeared in Artforum.
